WE ARE NEW VILLAGE!
Get to know NVA’s dedicated partners!
New Village Academy can only succeed because so many individuals and organizations in our community are willing to help make “Annapolis as our classroom” a reality. Each month, we feature an organization or business that is helping NVA bring its vision of “high school done differently” to life.
This month we are featuring not one but THREE organizations collaborating to LITERALLY make New Village Academy possible. If you’ve been following NVA, you know that last year our facility financing fell through at a very late date, leaving us with no other option than to delay our opening. Thanks to First Tryon Advisors, Civic Builders, and Raza Development Fund, we now have a rock-solid facility finance plan that allows us to rent for the first 5 years, then take over the lease and refinance our loan to operate independently for the remaining 30 years of our Annapolis Mall lease term. First Tryon’s Robert Ryan has worked tirelessly to find our amazing partners in constructing our facility. Civic Builders is serving as our “TurnKey” Charter School Facility Developer, managing the building process and holding the Mall lease until we have a financial history that allows us to independently finance our project. Raza Development Fund has provided a large portion of the financing to pay for the build-out. We are grateful for the long hours and speedy work they have all put in to get New Village Academy back on track to open in August 2026!
“New Village Academy represents the kind of innovative, community-driven education that will shape the future of Annapolis. By combining a career-focused curriculum with the support of more than 40 local partners, the school is creating real pathways to success, and Civic Builders is proud to build the vision they’ve imagined.”
